Discussions with Mr. Ahmed Naufal on documentation strategies
Discussion was held on 23rd January 2014 at 11.45 am in Noolaham office with Mr. Ahmed Naufal, President and Project Manager of ‘Rasfahi’, Revive (the organization to be established soon), who has come all the way from the Maldives Islands. While discussing, he revealed that he’s inspired by the service rendered by Noolaham Foundation and that was the driving force which made him to pay a direct visit to Noolaham. Mr. S. Seran, Mr. G. Shasheevan, Mr. S. Shanmugapriyan and Mr. S. Mayuran participated in this discussion on behalf of Noolaham Foundation.
The experience of carrying forward such an organization and its goals involved in activities related to digitization, documentation and archive were shared with Mr. Ahmed Naufal and some information regarding the state and condition of Maldives in documenting and archiving their historical values were also shared by him with our members.
Further, some suggestions and advices were given by our members on the technologies to be used in digitization, constructing an organization, Archiving, extending the networks with stake holders, Finance assisting, various projects that can be carried out, volunteer support, the quality and standards that has to be considered while digitizing and archiving and the information and contact details about other organizations involved with the same mission.
