A press meeting was called on 20th December 2013 at 6pm in Chennai Restaurant. Quiet a good number of media personalities graced this event along with the members of Noolaham Foundation. The purposes of this meeting were to increase community engagement towards the overall objectives of Noolaham Foundation through media and to explore and share the information on Foundation’s evolutionary progressive updates, the best practices and lessons learned and especially the information about 9th year Annual Celebrations and Unique cultural Events falls on 4th January 2014. Firstly, Miss. A. Janani, Communication and Public Relations Officer of Noolaham Foundation, addressed the gathering and introduced the members of Foundation to the media personalities. Nextly, Mr. S. Seran, Director of Noolaham Foundation, put forward Foundation’s evolutionary progressive updates which included a brief introduction about Noolaham Foundation, digital Library-‘Noolaham’, Fundation’s objectives, one of Noolaham Foundation’s projects- ‘Pallikoodam’, munuscripts archive, 3T(Technical Tools for Tamil) laboratory, Noolaham’s four special collections and the documentation of organizations- schools. Further, Mr. S. Shanmugapriyan, Chief Programming Executive of Noolaham Foundation, addressed on Tamil documentation conference-2013 and the 9th year annual celebrations & cultural events. Mr. S. Mayuran, Coordinator for volunteer teams of Noolaham Foundation, spoke on Foundation’s future plans and roadmaps of Noolaham Foundation. Many media personalities came up with suggestions and questionnaires about Noolaham Foundation where, simultaneously, did admire its service to Sri Lankan Tamil speaking community. They themselves came forward to cater and to make reach the Noolaham Foundation’s objectives and services to public through media. They also expressed their willingness to broadcast or publish about Noolaham Foundation’s 9th Year Annual Celebrations & Cultural Events and its services in their media. Many of them astonished about the works that have been carried out so far by Noolaham Foundation. Some more expressed their wishes and blessings for the organization’s future endeavors and finally, the press meeting came to an end with dinner.
