Public Affairs Office of the U. S. Department of State, Colombo has provided an award for documentation and archiving of rare and endangered materials. This project supported by the Federal Assistance Award will be implemented in Colombo and Jaffna.

Two workshops will be conducted during this project to train and create awareness among young people. Printed documents in various formats will be collected for documentation and preservation. This project emphasizes robust community driven approach to documentation and archiving which are keys to the knowledge profile of communities. Archived documents will be made accessible to all through the Foundations digital library.

This project is started in April 2012 and will finish by March 2013.
