Sivananthamoorthy Seran, the Cheif Operating Officer of Noolaham Foundation, has received Ashoka Innovators Award from Ashoka Foundation.
Ashoka - Innovators for the public, is a volunteer based organization operating in about 70 countries with more than 3,500 volunteers. It focuses on providing guidance and financial assistance to volunteers who are working towards positive social changes. More details aout Ashoka Foundation can be read at www.ashoka.org.
Ashoka Foundation has inaugurated Ashoka Youth Venture Award in Sri Lanka in 2011 and five volunteers including Seran has received the award for 2011. The presentation ceremony was held at Renuka Hotel, colombo-3 on 3rd April, 2011 in the presence of Ashoka Fellows. At this function the award winners presented a brief introduction about their projects.
