“First of Volunteer Working Group Meeting of Noolaham Foundation”

15.06.2014, At Noolaham Foundation, Colombo

A technical consultative meeting was arranged with volunteers (used to be called Technical Advisory Board) to discuss on technical matters and sector related updates. The meeting was held on 15th June 2014 at 5.00 pm in Noolaham Foundation, Colombo. Mr S Seran (Dedicated Director of Noolaham Foundation), Mr. Ramanaish Katheravelu (The Board Member of Noolaham Foundation), Mr. Shanmugapriyan Shanmugam (Chief Program Executive), Colombo office staff and volunteers were actively participated in this discussion. The discussion was about rationalization of strategies of Noolaham Foundation and its programme, contributing mechanism of volunteers, contemporary update of Noolaham Foundation, and some other technical matter of projects and operations. The action that increases the effectiveness of volunteer’s participation through more efficient or effective use of available technical resources. Further, on this conversation some suggestions were recognized and it was decided that feasibility of organization function. It will help the organization arranging in a systematic order in near future.

The current context of volunteer team and its functions as a working group for Noolaham Foundation also was clearly clarified. This team becomes an active working force for Noolaham Foundation and provides intensive help to Noolaham Foundations in coordination, mobilization, lobbying, marketing and operation. Considering the present requirement of Noolaham Foundation, it is agreed to have weekly working group meeting for at least three months, and this team would also contribute to establish more network and linkages with relevant stakeholders and communities.
