Nankuram (நங்கூரம்) is a monthly magazine which was first published in 1992. It was published for 3 years and was stopped in 1995 because of the civil war exodus. And it was restarted in 2012 by it's editor and publisher Mr. Ponnudurai Ayngaranesan.

Mr. Ponnudurai ayngaranesan is now serving as the agricultural Minister at Northern Provincial council. On 22nd of May 2015, Communication Officer and Digital Library Officer of Noolaham Foundation met Mr. Ponnudurai Ayngaranesan to obtain his permission to digitize the Nanguram magazines and other books written by him and make them available at NF digital library. The meeting was held at 06.15 pm at his office and he not only gave the permissions but also conveyed his interest to support Noolaham Foundation activities as well.
  
Prof. Sudaharshan Durayappah visited to Noolaham foundation Jaffna programme office and engaged in a discussion on 22nd of May, 2015 at 10.30am,  who is working at University of Toronto Canada and Royal Ontario Museum as a lecturer. The discussion was made very successfully in several issue such as digital archiving on Tamil speaking communities cultural identities. Communication and public relation officer Srivakeesan Sriranganathan  and digital library officer Pirapakar Nadrasa have been participated in this discussion on behalf of Noolaham Foundation.

So far Noolaham Foundation has digitized 24 issues of the Nanguram monthly magazine and two books written by P. Ayngaranesan. All of them are now available without any access restrictions.
  
Further, the Prof. Sudaharshan had been wondered of Noolaham Foundation’s project of palm leaves manu scripts archive and encouraged to write the contents of them. Moreover he would like to give his dedicatable support in path of the foundation’s activities and he has been suggested some of usefull contacts from University of Toronto, Canada. According this discussion, he will help to take permission to digitize Tamil Studies Conference publications in Canada and also  interact us with diasporas’ Tamil publications which have been publishing from Canada.
 
  
Noolaham foundation would like to collaborate in various activities with Prof. Sudaharshan Durayappah and via his contacts in future.

Permission obtained to digitize Nankuram magazine and other publications

Nankuram (நங்கூரம்) is a monthly magazine which was first published in 1992. It was published for 3 years and was stopped in 1995 because of the civil war exodus. And it was restarted in 2012 by it's editor and publisher Mr. Ponnudurai Ayngaranesan.
