Noolaham Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization (GA 2390) founded to provide enhanced access to information sources and foster knowledge-based development in Sri Lanka. It maintains an online digital library, facilitates information preservation programmes, provides financial assistance and technical guidance for digitization initiatives, and actively participates in awareness-raising campaigns. It also co-ordinates a range of fund-raising activities and collaborates with other organizations and individuals. The free Internet library [www.noolaham.org] and Archive [www.noolaham.media] maintained by the Foundation serves as a learning centre incorporating local knowledge and enabling social interaction with a view to achieving constructive social outcomes. It functions as a repository for various institutions, and fulfils the information needs of students, researchers, historians, activists and the public. Volunteers of Noolaham Foundation engage with Noolaham Activities globally and establish Noolaham chapters in their respective countries to achieve the mission of the Foundation.

Objectives The Foundation's main objectives are to: Promote open access to information sources Provide library and information services Support digital preservation initiatives and digital content creation Engage in awareness-raising campaigns on various issues such as digital preservation, information literacy and knowledge management Facilitate knowledge dissemination and foster research and development activities Develop communities of Libraries, Archives and other information providers Organizational details Noolaham Foundation divided into main seven divisions. Executive, Programs, Technology, Network, Community, Communication and Finance are seven main divisions and each division is further divided into various sections. The Board of Trustees, Executive Task Force, Program Task Force, Technology Task Force, Network Task Force, Community Task Force, Communication Task Force, Finance Task Force and many other volunteers contributes towards the activities of the Foundation. The Noolaham Board of Trustees is the ultimate corporate authority in the Foundation, and has the power to make strategic decisions. The Advisory Board is a network of experts who have agreed to give the Noolaham Foundation meaningful help on a regular basis in many different areas. Their abilities, experience, and knowledge were selected for how they complement a particular Noolaham Foundation project, or the organization as a whole. Noolaham Foundation is registered as a non-profit organization and the Articles of Association of the Foundation outlines the basic standards. Additions, changes and other important activities are conducted by passing Resolutions. Various policies are created as guidelines for Noolaham activities.
