On last 19.05.2012 Saturday at 3.45 evening two events were organized by the 'Uyil Literary Association' at the Kottavaththai social hall in Vadamaraadchi, Jaffna. A book titled “Punaivum Puthithum” – ‘Research papers and others’ by Mr.S.Guneswaran was launched at the function. An introduction about the newsletter of Noolaham Foundation titled “Puthiya Noolaham” was also held.

This event, which was organized on the intention of portraying the activities of Noolaham Foundation at regional levels, was presided by Poet Yaathirikan. The welcome address was presented by respected teacher K.Tharmadevan.<br/><br/>

On last 19.05.2012 Saturday at 3.45 evening two events were organized by the 'Uyil Literary Association' at the Kottavaththai social hall in Vadamaraadchi, Jaffna. A book titled “Punaivum Puthithum” – ‘Research papers and others’ by Mr.S.Guneswaran was launched at the function. An introduction about the newsletter of Noolaham Foundation titled “Puthiya Noolaham” was also held. This event, which was organized on the intention of portraying the activities of Noolaham Foundation at regional levels, was presided by Poet Yaathirikan. The welcome address was presented by respected teacher K.Tharmadevan.

Mr.Yaathirikan who delivered his presidential address pointed out that the activities of the Noolaham Foundation which at present plays an immense role in the web sphere were being very keenly noted by the public. He added that in the contemporary electronic environment it was easily accessible to everyone. He continued to say that in the Noolaham Foundation which has uploaded about ten thousand documents, a just more than 25 documents were from the Vadamaraadchi environment and stressed that there was a necessity for increased contributions.

This was followed by a speech by Mr.T.Ajanthakumar on the topic of “Noolaham Foundation in the web sphere”. In his address he remarked the necessity and reasons for the emergence of the Noolaham Foundation and the services done by the volunteers all over the world which should have been done voluntarily by the government. He continued to state the nature of documents possessed by the Noolaham Foundation and the ways they were beneficial to the people. He too stated that we have the opportunity of having two libraries at our home and one was the E-book scheme and we ought to make the right use of it.

Followed by it, Mr.Sinnaraja Vimalan delivered an address on the topic “New Noolaham Newsletters”. Although he had an opportunity to read all the 12 newsletters published until now through Noolaham, he made his speech concerning 6 – 12 newsletters taking into consideration the time factor. He who briefed the facts written by contributors from A.Muthulingam to Ravikumar, continued to state the subjects contained by the New Noolaham, the information regarding occasions contained by them, introductory articles about creations, information regarding contributors were very important. He advised that it would be better if some important statistical data could be included in future. The event was attended by about 75 people including readers, enthusiasts and about 10-15 regional contributors. “Puthiya Noolaham” newsletters of series 7-12 were provided for all who attended the event. Particularly, copies were provided to regional libraries and schools. Moreover, copies of annual report, writer admission forms and the directory of documents on Noolaham by Vadamaraadchi personalities were also provided.

Finally, Mr.Guneswaran, the editor of “Puthiya Noolaham” and a member of the Noolaham communicational team delivered the vote of thanks. He mentioned that the event was organized on the intention of wide spreading the activities of Noolaham foundation which were useful to researchers, students and readers. He too stated that the interested should come forward to continue the services of the Noolaham Foundation. The event was over by 6.00 p.m. evening.
