Preliminary visit was taken place to the Hindu Board Children Home (HBCH), Kalasalai Road, Thirunelveli on 2nd February 2014 at 3 o’clock. Dr.Nithiyananthan and his team from Ratnam Foundation were participated along with the more than 200 children from the HBCH. At the same time Mr.Shanmugapriyan Shanmugam, Chief Program Executive of Noolaham Foundation, Dr.Nithiyananthan and the President of HBCH also following to a discussion. On this, available facilities, improvement, and implementation and feasibility of virtual learning system were discussed with the chair person of HBCH Mr. Somasundaram Pathamnathan.

In addition, the needs regarding to improve children’s abilities in the sectors of general knowledge, leadership skills, socialization skills, and self learning gaps were recognized. The next step will be based on the requirements to meet identified needs. A project concept note will be draft and shared with Ratnam Foundation and HBCH committee for comments and feedback.
