During the Literary Conference and the “Baarathiyaar Vizha” an event was
organized to meet some popular writers and contributors in the literary field. This
was organized in the intention of obtaining permission from authors for uploading
theier material in the Noolaham digital library. First a clear introduction about the
Noolaham Digital library and the projects undertaken by Noolaham Foundation
was provided to the audience. The immense role of Noolaham Foundation in
digital documentation was also well explained. Furthermore, the newsletters of
Noolaham Foundation “Puthiya Noolaham” were also provided. It was well
evident that the authors and writers were pleased with the Noolaham programme
and actively obtained forms which were to be filled in order to grant the foundation
the permission to upload their materials. Some authors provided their books with
permission to upload them there at the function itself and many were seen
demanding more forms to be supplied to the authors outside they knew who could
possibly contribute to the programme. Ultimately the event was a great success in
the progress of the Noolaham Foundation.
