Noolaham Foundation supports education through virtual learning platform and conducting many relevant programs among the Tamil speaking community in Sri Lanka under a program called “Pallikoodam”. Therefore, Noolaham Foundation is intent to collaboratively implement many interventions using volunteers’ network in Sri Lanka. The virtual learning environment supports for more Tamil students’ community to improving their knowledge and make good platform that supports and empowers students at the grass roots level, and promote education as an avenue for development. To enhance this aim, Noolaham Foundation has collaborated with the Tamil students who are waiting for admission to Sri Lankan’s universities.

An introductory, networking and promotional event was held at the Spectra Skills, 19 Stanley Road, Jaffna on 3rd of March 2014 at 01.00 pm to 02.00 pm. On behalf of Noolaham Foundation, Mr. Shanmugapriyan Shanmugam (Chief Program Executive, Noolaham Foundation), Mr. Noel Rukshan Premakumar (Project Assistant), Mr. Manokar Gajaharan (Volunteer coordinator, Exam Project) and more than thirty new volunteers were actively participated in the meeting. Mr. Shanmugam Shanmugapriyan gave brief explanation introductory on the Noolaham Foundation, about digital library, Pallikoodam Program and services of Noolaham Foundation toward the Sri Lankan Tamil speaking community and further described objective of the new project of  “Improvement of e-learning facilities and soft skill to children” for the children home  in Thirunelvely, Jaffna and its sections as well. Further, the volunteers of the foundation explained certain technical aspects and requirements of this project and their involvement in the implementation of the project. It is collectively agreed by the volunteers that they will provide man-hours as a facilitating resources in trainings in near future.
  
An orientation event was taken place at the Hind Board Children Home (HBCH), Kalasalai Road, Thirunelveli on 3rd of March 2014 at 04.30 pm. On behalf of Noolaham Foundation, Mr. Shanmugapriyan Shanmugam (Chief Program Executive, Noolaham Foundation), Mr. Noel Rukshan Premakumar (Project Assistant), and Mr. Gowthaman Kunchithapatham (Project Coordinator, Volunteer) and  Mr.Somasuntharam  Pathmanathan (President, HBCH), Mr. Thiruselvam Selvamanoharan (Assistant Secretary, HBCH) were actively participated in the event. Mr Shanmugam Shanmugapriyan gave brief explanation on the objective of the project and its sections, and clarified the implementation method and involvement of relevant resources and stakeholders. 
 
  
Fifty student beneficiaries were identified from Grade 9 to 13 for forty five training sessions.  The training will be held on Sundays. Since the school vacation falls in August and most of the student stays in the home, it has been decided to have more training during this period. Around fifteen relevant resource persons were identified in the Jaffna district through the discussion, and based on their expertise, session will be devoted. Noolaham Foundation project team and volunteers will facilitate this training as supportive resources. It is expected, that through the exercise, soft and leadership skill, and subject related exposure would be developed among the school students and socialization concepts would be provided to vulnerable volunteer and student communities.
